Flower Policies

Graves:

  1. The cemetery is not responsible for any decorations left on or around the grave. All decorations and flowers will be removed from each section on the specified day of the week for ground maintenance.
  2. Removal of flowers and decorations starts at 7:30am through 3:00pm on your section's specified removal day. The entire day is needed to clear all flowers and decorations and mow.
  3. All flowers, fresh cut or artificial, must be placed in the vases provided by the cemetery, within a monument base or marker frame. Glass or ceramic vases, jars or statues and any wire used to attach decor to headstones are dangerous and will be removed without notice. Planter boxes, tin cans, toys, pots, candles or other similar items will also be removed without notice.
  4. Seasonal and holiday arrangements should be removed in a timely manner.
  5. Potted plants, trees, wreaths and appropriate decorations should not exceed two feet in hight and are permitted for one week after Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, All Souls Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  6. Grave Maintenance: cemetery personnel are responsible for the general appearance of the grounds and should remove all items which can be hazardous and detract from the neatness and beauty of the cemetery. The cemetery is not responsible for gravedecorations of any kind which are damaged, lost, or removed.
  7. The planting of flowers, trees and shrubs is prohibited. Picking flowers, breaking branches, or removing, injuring or cutting trees plants or shrubs is also prohibited.
  8. Interment: Upon completion, the casket piece, and three arrangements will be placed at the gravesite and remain for three days or until they become unsightly, whichever comes first.

Mausoleums, Crypts, and Niches:

  1. Fresh flower bouquets or artificial flowers can be placed in outdoor crypt/niche vases. Artificial silk type flowers are preferred indoors.
  2. Silk flowers are allowed indoors and outdoors and should be placed in an approved flower vase.
  3. Other than at the time of a funeral, flowers and arrangements may not be left on the altar or floor.
  4. Photographs and momentos other than those purchased through the cemetery are not permitted and shall not be taped, glued, or otherwise affixed to the crypt front, or placed in the flower vase, or on the floor. Such items will be removed by cemetery staff.
  5. Vases for flowers are supplied by the cemetery. Families are asked to take into consideration the size of vases when placing flowers or arrangements. Ornaments and hanging momentos should be restricted in number as not to overwhelm the vasel No personal vases, toys or other items are allowed and therefore may not be placed on the floor. The cemetery takes no responsibility for removal or damage to these items.
  6. Flowers in vases on crypts must not intrude on the next person's allotted area. Niche vases are meant for small floral remembrance, and must not interfer with other arrangements.
  7. Seasonal and holiday arrangements should be removed in a timely manner. Appropriate decorations are permitted for one week after Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, All Souls Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. All decorations must be placed within the area of the marker frame. Please refer to each section's regulations posted at the watering stations.
  8. No glass containers allowed in niches, crypts, and chapel areas. Glass containers will be removed.
  9. All wilted or discolored flowers will be removed from crypts, niches and chapel areas on Fridays. This can be done at any time between 7:30am and 3:30pm.
  10. Any other type of decorations or onamentation can be removed at the cemetery's discretion.
  11. Cemetery personnel are responsible for the general appearance of the grounds and shall remove all items which can be hazardous and detract from the neatness and beauty of the cemetery.
  12. Entombment committal and graveside service: Upon completion, the casket piece will be placed on the floor in front of any crypt or niche and will remain for three days or until it becomes unsightly, whichever comes first.
